Moonwalk

Dwarfing the news of Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon, Michael Jackson died today. (grabbaggar speculates cause of death as opiods)

He released the 100 million selling "Thriller" which is still the number one selling album of all time. He also "hit" during a very formative period in my life...the tween years. So yes, I was captivated by the moonwalk...I tried to emulate it...and yes I still enjoy listening to "Billie Jean" "Rock With You" "Thriller" "Beat It" and "Smooth Criminal" I saw him in person and in concert at the Irvine Meadows amphitheatre in 1988, and when he did his trademark spin, moonwalk and toe stand I shreiked like a little girl...

Most recently I loved the SOBE commercial where the lizards all did the Thriller Dance, I paused it and said, "Tasha, this is classic, all the lizards are doing the Thriller Dance, you gotta see this!! Anyways...So I can't say I am sad today...but I thought I'd put some thoughts on the blog..

Although I was certainly not impressed with his morals, he was one of the pop icons of all time. By far, the Thriller video is the best ever. Another icon, Farah Fawcett, the most remembered Angel who died today was a trendsetter when I was in college. I remember being at a Crosby, Stills & Nash concert at Pauley, second row, and sitting behind Ryan O'Neal with his purse and his arm around his "boyfriend." Pretty bold for those days. Now non-remarkable. Charlie's Angels' flag flies at half-staff today. -Denise

Well that's just crazy. Gonna be interesting to see how the media treats this.

I baffled myself by my intrest in this story.
I also felt bad for the Farrah Fawcett people.

I was surprised that I actually cared what was going on with Jacko's death and was willing to push the wierdo stuff and accusations to the back of my mind. I would not say i was sad, but definitely willing to overlook his history for a brief time with his passing. Not that it matters what I think.

Good news for Kobe Bryant, maybe when he dies in the future, I will be able to enjoy him as a basketball player and be willing to ignore Colorado. What a sick pig they both are/were.
