One moment you are pitching for the Angels and hours later you are killed for no reason along with three of your friends. This is the sad story of Nick Adenhart who had acheived his dream of pitching in MLB. It reminds me to appreciate every moment we are alive...

You are so right Garrett. One never knows when your life will be snapped away from you in a second. What makes the death of Nick and his 2 friends even more tragic is the fact that their lives were taken by a drunk driver who was driving with a suspended license for another DUI!! Hard to make sense of it all. Three lives taken, three families forever changed by someone who got behind the wheel drunk and shattered so many lives in an instant. I pray that the fourth friend that was in the car with Nick will make it.
Love ya, Susan

Love you Garrett, Tasha, Kevin and Zack.

I just saw an AP News video on yahoo sports about this story. I could not believe the angle they took toward the end. They actually ended the story with what this does to the Angels pitching staff with this on top of the injuries to their other starters.
I know I am a heartless ultra-conservative, but c'mon AP use a little more wisdom in your reporting on these types of things.
Completely agree with you on that one Mike. Glad to see you back on Garrett's blog.
