Matt's class at UCLA was cancelled so he wanted to check out the festivities...as such I told him that Fox was live and he ran into the shot while I was on the phone with him...this was a lot of fun I have both of the clips at my gallery which can be accessed by clicking here once you click navigate to the "iphone videos album" and click on Matt fox news #1 and Matt fox news #2...
Also for your convenience is the better of the two clips..right on youtube...
Moonwalk
Dwarfing the news of Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon, Michael Jackson died today. (grabbaggar speculates cause of death as opiods)
He released the 100 million selling "Thriller" which is still the number one selling album of all time. He also "hit" during a very formative period in my life...the tween years. So yes, I was captivated by the moonwalk...I tried to emulate it...and yes I still enjoy listening to "Billie Jean" "Rock With You" "Thriller" "Beat It" and "Smooth Criminal" I saw him in person and in concert at the Irvine Meadows amphitheatre in 1988, and when he did his trademark spin, moonwalk and toe stand I shreiked like a little girl...
Most recently I loved the SOBE commercial where the lizards all did the Thriller Dance, I paused it and said, "Tasha, this is classic, all the lizards are doing the Thriller Dance, you gotta see this!! Anyways...So I can't say I am sad today...but I thought I'd put some thoughts on the blog..

"True Blood"
"Six Feet Under" was one of the greatest Dramas in TV history, so when I heard Alan Ball was going to start another series and this time make it about about Vampires, I had to check it out. Last Fall from the first episode on, I was hooked.
In this world, as opposed to Stephanie Meyers, Vampires cannot go out in the daytime or they will burn up, silver will burn their skin, and of course they need to feed to survive. But miracle of all miracles, a Japanese company has created a synthesized version of human blood, that meets all their nutritional needs. True Blood has allowed vampires to "mainstream" into society. It is against this background that Vampire Bill Compton walked into Merlottes bar and met Sookie Stackhouse. Like all great TV Dramas, this show has all the key ingredients...Characters you love, and interesting storylines. I was very excited last night with the premiere episode of this "guilty pleasure"
*************Update*******The Season 2 Premiere episode of True Blood was the highest rated show on HBO since the finale episode of "The Sopranos"

"Tough Way to lose Weight"
===Indeed so goes the ole adage
So this picture is of me thoroughly defeated by a tiny organism that caused me some serious, serious pain. So serious that I was extremely close to asking Tasha to call the ambulance....(wouldn't that have been neat? A riley brothers tag team!) It hit me fast, Tina if you are reading this and you are thinking, "He seemed OK at dinner..." Well you are pretty much right, I was a little off, but I didn't think anything of it, then about 25 minutes after dinner, it came on hard!! Never before had I been so wiped out....My bed was pretty much the bathtub folks (fill in your own gory details) I had no strength to move. Did I mention how close I came to having Tasha call an ambulance? Well because of this absolute nonsense Tasha was unable to run in her marathon because she was running on no sleep. Well by about 5 o'clock AM I was done throwing up and was able to sleep until about noon when we had to check out...and then I took the above picture of myself while Tasha was driving me home....Feeling awful, looking awful...Grabbaggar gives you the highs and the lows folks, and because Tasha's marathon was ruined, that was/is a big low.
