A female folk singer may not seem like a normal mix with a rock god, but here it works to perfection, the voices complement each other. The album is mostly mellow and is great to listen to as you fall asleep (at least until your wife says, Garrett you need to turn that off now) There is a reason that it was given this award, and yes indeed this is the best thing Robert Plant has been involved in since "In through the out Door" cute title huh? (That's Zep for ya)
I encourage everyone to get this one, you won't be dissappointed!
P.S. I miss Tasha's blog, she hardly writes anything anymore!

I might have to check some of it out. Alison Krauss has always been intriguing to me. I have heard some her songs that her voice always sounds great but still, something is a little odd. But in some songs I have heard of hers she sings as a duet with another guy it is terrific.
Ahhh, Alison Kraus. I love her singing. I just downloaded a couple of days ago the songs, "Gone, Gone, Gone" and "Please Read the Letter." Great stuff. I have been listening to her and the Union Station Band for a while. Remember "I am a man of constant sorrow"? It's on one of her albums. Dad was so cute after Alison Kraus won. He said, "Don't we have one of her music videos?" Well, close, but it's Diana Krall. And she is married to some rock star, but I have forgotten who.
Love you and glad Kevin is better,
Denise
I might just needs to check this out. Thanks for the review.
By the way, U2's new album No Line on the Horizon is coming out in the next couple of weeks and they recorded so much in preparation that they are going to release a second album before year's end (so they say) that has the mellower more contemplative tracks on it. Pretty cool.
