Where were you when you all heard about the planes hitting the towers??

I had no idea anything happened until about 5:30 PM that day. At the time I was working as a garbage man and was in a garbage truck alone working in the town of Durham and came accross nobody all day long. When I got back to the yard with my truck, I went into the office to turn in my paper work and heard members of congress on the radio singing "God bless America" on the radio that always has country music on. At that point I knew something was wierd. I asked somebody in the office and was shocked at what had happened. At that point, like everyone else I was a news junkie for a few weeks and listed to the radio nonstop (We dont have TV) or i would have been glued to CNN or FOX.

Thanks for the reminder Garrett. I actually had forgotten what the date was today. I got in the car this morning and noticed that streets here all lined with flags and could not figure it out until I looked at your blog.

We flew our flag today in remembrance and to give honor to our fallen heroes and our country.

Love you, Mom

Garrett,
I liked how simple your blog was today, but it said SO much. Thanks for the visual tribute to a horrible act of terrorism that changed American lives forever.
Love,
Denise

I just watched film footage of 9/11 on History Channel here at a motel in Lakeview Oregon tonite. The footage of the people on the streets and the looks on their faces was devistating to watch. It is wierd how it plays on emotions and can make you angry 7 years later.
